LSE Terrace

A Reimagined Roof Terrace for LSE

A roof terrace at the Saw Swee Hock Student Centre has been transformed into a green, welcoming space for students at the London School of Economics. Previously underutilised, the terrace now features a carefully designed landscape with trees and planting that support biodiversity and seasonal interest. The new design provides a calm environment for students to relax, socialise, and recharge, while complementing the building’s award-winning architecture. This project demonstrates how sustainable design and functional landscaping can enhance wellbeing and bring nature into urban educational settings.
