Imperial College Garden
A Greener Heart for Beit Quad
At Imperial College London, the historic Beit Quadrangle courtyard has been reimagined as part of the University’s Living Campus initiative. Once a sterile lawn, the space is now a richly planted garden featuring new trees, diverse shrubs and perennials, and handmade timber seating. Designed by J&L Gibbons with furniture by Jan Hendzel Studio and delivered on site by Reimagine Works, the transformation introduces biodiversity, supports pollinators, and creates a welcoming environment for students to gather, rest, and connect. The project reflects Imperial’s commitment to climate action while enhancing wellbeing at the heart of its South Kensington campus.
